I'm Liam Hepburn, founder of Allergy Compass, a pioneering start-up aimed at revolutionising allergen management in the restaurant sector.
Living with a severe peanut and nut allergy has often made dining out a challenge due to scarce allergen information and the difficulty in communicating with restaurants. This experience exposed a crucial gap: the absence of an easy way for eateries to manage allergens and share this information with diners.
Driven by this need, I created Allergy Compass. Our solution streamlines allergen management for restaurants and offers diners detailed allergen insights, ensuring a safer and more enjoyable dining experience for everyone.

With academic foundations in International Business and Applied Economics, Liam's journey is not one typically associated with the field of allergen management. However, it's his lifelong experience navigating the challenges of severe food allergies that has ignited a profound commitment to making the dietary world safer for everyone.
Recognised in 2018 with the European Economics Scholarship by the Fraser of Allander Institute for his scholarly excellence, Liam has leveraged his diverse experiences in investment banking and the Civil Service towards a cause close to his heart. It's this unique blend of professional expertise and personal insight that fuels his mission with Allergy Compass: to transform how society addresses food allergies, making dining out a worry-free experience for individuals with dietary restrictions.
